About
Ben Grove joined CATF in June of 2021 and is the Carbon Storage Senior Manager. With over 5 years of experience in carbon capture and storage (CCS), Ben serves as CATF’s resident geo-technical CCS expert. Ben’s work focuses on technical and regulatory strategy, and policy advocacy aimed at advancing commercial-scale deployment of carbon capture and storage technologies globally by midcentury.
Prior to joining CATF, Ben led techno-economic assessments of commercial CCS projects and supported commercial CCS business development at Battelle Memorial Institute. During his time at Battelle, Ben provided technical and economic oversight for more than 20 commercial CCS feasibility studies and supported numerous DOE-sponsored CCS projects. Ben holds a M.S. in Geochemistry and a B.S. in Petroleum Geology & Geophysics from Ohio State University. Ben is currently based in Mason, Ohio.
