Ben Grove is Director of Industrial Innovation at Clean Air Task Force (CATF), where he leads the organization’s global Industrial Innovation program. He oversees a multidisciplinary team working across North America, Europe, and other key regions working to reduce emissions from energy-intensive sectors such as cement, iron and steel, chemicals, and refining by advancing the technologies, policies, and market conditions needed for deep industrial decarbonization.

With more than a decade of experience at the intersection of industrial decarbonization, carbon management, energy systems, and climate policy, Ben helps shape strategies that bridge technological innovation and real-world deployment. He works with policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and advocates to advance scalable solutions that can deliver deep emissions reductions while strengthening economic competitiveness and industrial growth.

Before joining CATF in 2021, Ben worked at Battelle Memorial Institute, where he evaluated commercial carbon capture projects and supported the development of emerging decarbonization technologies. Throughout his career, he has advised industry, policymakers, and investors on technologies and strategies to advance deep decarbonization across heavy industry.

Ben holds a M.S. in Geochemistry and a B.S. in Petroleum Geology and Geophysics from The Ohio State University. He is based in Mason, Ohio.
