About the event

Nuclear energy can play a significant role in achieving reliability, emissions, and energy security goals. However, concerns tied to cost, technology readiness, and delivery deadlines linger for policy makers and stakeholders. Nuclear energy orderbooks can help address these concerns by bringing together multiple parties to enable the bulk purchase of a proven reactor design, and thereby significantly cut costs, accelerate timelines, and strengthen supply chains and workforce capacity.

This webinar features experts from the Nuclear Scaling Initiative, National Association of State Energy Officials, and CATF. They will explain the what and why of nuclear orderbooks, how they can come together, the specific aspects of a commercial orderbook deal, and the enabling role of states.

This is the third event in CATF’s 2026 State Policy Webinar Series.
