About the event
Zero waste strategies offer significant opportunities to reduce methane and other super pollutant emissions while advancing sustainable waste management and climate goals. Translating scientific evidence into effective policies and on-the-ground implementation remains essential to scaling these solutions, particularly in communities facing growing waste management challenges.
Coordinated by Cecilia Allen of the Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives (GAIA), alongside Kait Siegel of Clean Air Task Force, this session will bring together Yobel Novian Putra, Eskedar Awgichew, Cecilia Allen, Kait Siegel, and Tiza Mafira to explore evidence-based approaches to super pollutant mitigation. The discussion will highlight practical strategies, policy opportunities, and collaboration needed to accelerate the implementation of zero waste solutions.
