About the event

The Global Methane Pledge has established an international commitment to reducing methane emissions, but achieving meaningful progress requires translating these ambitions into effective national policies and measurable action. This session will assess progress under the pledge and examine how countries are developing and implementing national methane reduction frameworks to accelerate progress toward global climate goals.

Organized by Green Transition Denmark, the discussion will explore opportunities to strengthen regulatory frameworks, improve emissions monitoring and accountability, and advance practical mitigation strategies across major emitting sectors, including energy, agriculture, and waste.

Featuring Clean Air Task Force’s Jonathan Banks, the session will highlight the importance of international cooperation, coordinated government action, and effective policy implementation in translating methane reduction commitments into lasting emissions reductions.
