Association for Renewable Energy and Clean Technology Pavilion, Blue Zone

About the event

Geothermal energy offers significant opportunities to expand reliable, low-carbon power while strengthening energy security, supporting industrial development, and creating skilled jobs. Advances in next-generation geothermal technologies are opening new markets beyond countries with established geothermal industries, but scaling deployment requires access to specialized expertise, experienced developers, skilled workers, manufacturing capabilities, and financing.

Co-hosted by Clean Air Task Force and Business Iceland, this discussion will bring together government and industry leaders to examine how international cooperation can accelerate geothermal deployment while creating economic opportunities for participating countries. The session will explore how established geothermal markets, emerging economies, technology developers, and manufacturers can build partnerships that strengthen supply chains, expand industrial capabilities, and overcome barriers to project development.

Featuring Clean Air Task Force’s Terra Rogers and David Yellen, the discussion will focus on identifying practical opportunities for government-industry collaboration that can advance geothermal deployment and deliver lasting economic benefits beyond COP31.
