Event Details:

November 17, 2026

3:45-4:30pm TRT

France Pavillion, Blue Zone

About the event

Reducing methane emissions from livestock presents an important opportunity to advance global climate goals while strengthening food security, supporting agricultural livelihoods, and building more resilient food systems. Achieving meaningful reductions at scale will require coordinated action among governments, businesses, farmers, and climate organizations to accelerate the adoption of practical, science-based mitigation solutions.

Hosted by Danone, this panel will explore how public-private partnerships, supportive policies, and targeted investments can help overcome barriers to livestock methane mitigation while delivering benefits for farmers and agricultural communities. The discussion will examine opportunities to align government priorities, corporate commitments, and financing mechanisms to support sustainable agricultural practices and accelerate progress toward climate goals.

The panel will feature Delphine Eyraud, Special Adviser on Methane for the French Group of Seven Presidency; Christopher Adamo, Vice President of Sustainability, Engagement and Impact at Danone; Angela Churie Kallhauge, Executive Vice President of Impact at Environmental Defense Fund; Marcelo Mena, Chief Executive Officer of Global Methane Hub; and Jonathan Banks of Clean Air Task Force as moderator.

Together, speakers will bring perspectives from government, industry, and international climate organizations to examine how collaborative approaches can translate methane reduction commitments into measurable action while strengthening farmer resilience, food systems, and long-term agricultural sustainability.
