CATF at Climate Week NYC: Advancing innovative climate solutions, grounded in what works
Clean Air Task Force (CATF) will bring its global expertise to New York Climate Week, convening policymakers, industry leaders, investors, researchers, and civil society to accelerate innovative solutions to the world’s most complex climate and energy challenges.
“The world is changing on a weekly, and sometimes daily, basis – and the economic and geopolitical chessboard is realigning just as quickly,” said Armond Cohen, Executive Director at CATF. “The assumptions that have shaped energy and climate policy for decades are being tested. Countries are reconsidering their energy strategies and political, trade, and energy alliances in response to the war in Iran and other geopolitical shocks. Around the world, there is a growing acknowledgment of the need for innovative solutions that strengthen energy security, expand access to affordable energy, support economic growth, and reduce emissions and environmental impacts. We must meet this moment.”
CATF programming will explore topics including the implications of the war in Iran for global energy security and climate policy, decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors, scaling carbon dioxide removal, methane mitigation, clean aviation, and more.
