CATF at London Climate Action Week: Advancing durable climate solutions

June 18, 2026

London, United Kingdom – Clean Air Task Force (CATF) will bring its global expertise and cross-sector perspective to London Climate Action Week, convening with policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and civil society to advance practical climate and energy solutions in an increasingly fragmented geopolitical and economic landscape.

“As geopolitics shift and development aid and finance continue to contract, countries must find new ways to collaborate on the solutions needed to drive climate progress,” said Jonathan Banks, Vice President, Methane Pollution Prevention at CATF. “The challenge now is turning ambition into implementation. Maintaining momentum will require continued innovation, partnership, and a focus on delivering real solutions that reduce emissions while supporting economic growth and clean air.”

Discussions at London Climate Action Week come at a pivotal moment for international climate cooperation. As governments work to strengthen economic competitiveness, meet rising energy demand, and advance climate and energy security goals, they are confronting an increasingly complex landscape shaped by geopolitical uncertainty, shifting trade relationships, and supply chain challenges. At the same time, negotiators meeting in Bonn are laying the groundwork for COP31, where countries will face growing pressure to translate long-term climate ambitions into tangible, measurable progress.

At London Climate Action Week, CATF will engage across a range of topics including methane mitigation, clean energy deployment, industrial innovation, nuclear energy, finance, and pathways for aligning economic development with long-term decarbonization goals.

The following CATF experts will be available throughout the week for media engagement and discussions:

  • Jonathan Banks, Vice President, Methane Pollution Prevention
  • Alex Carr, Deputy Director, Industrial Innovation, Europe
  • Philip Cohen, Director, Industrial Innovation, Europe
  • Tamara Lagurashvili, Director, Central and Eastern Europe
  • Toby Lockwood, Director, Carbon Management Practice
  • Lucía Maroto, Transportation Decarbonization Manager, Europe
  • James Turrito, Director, Oil and Gas, Methane Pollution Prevention
