CATF Statement on the CLEAN Future Act

January 8, 2020 Work Area: Advanced Nuclear, Carbon Capture

“Clean Air Task Force is encouraged to see the progress made by the House Energy and Commerce Committee leadership in creating the ‘CLEAN Future Act’ framework for a comprehensive climate bill that will achieve 100 percent decarbonization by 2050,” said Conrad Schneider, Advocacy Director of Clean Air Task Force.  “From the Memorandum released by the Committee leadership today, it looks like the bill will include critical, technology-inclusive strategies, including carbon capture and storage and nuclear energy, that will be necessary for decarbonizing each of the key sectors of the economy.  We look forward to seeing more details when the bill text is released,” he said.
