Resource Library: EPA Natural Gas STAR Technical Documents
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Natural Gas STAR Program is a voluntary program aimed at reducing methane pollution from the oil and gas sector. Through this program, EPA partners with oil and gas operators and industry stakeholders to promote technology transfer and share best practices to mitigate the sector’s methane pollution.
Since 1993, EPA has produced hundreds of technical documents with information on cost-effective oil and gas methane abatement solutions. Some of these documents are no longer accessible to the public even though they contain information that is still valuable and relevant today. Because these documents were developed in the U.S. using U.S. specific data, some findings may not directly translate to other country contexts. Therefore, they are best used as technical guidance.
This resource library contains nearly 400 archived Natural Gas STAR technology factsheets and lessons learned documents in English and translated into Russian, Chinese, Arabic, and Spanish by EPA. Under each language, users can filter by emission source.
