About
Kasparas is the Director of the Electricity Program at Clean Air Task Force. In his role, Kasparas oversees CATF’s electricity-sector analysis, system planning, policy and regulatory reform, and market design work in the U.S. and Europe. Prior to this role, Kasparas led CATF’s strategic research and exploration initiative, with a large focus on the financing (“missing middle”) challenges of new energy infrastructure technologies.
Prior to joining CATF, Kasparas was an Associate at The Brattle Group working on power system modeling, infrastructure planning, electricity market design, and transmission planning. His clients ranged from state and city agencies, to utilities, developers, and NGOs, and he has advised over $15 billion of electricity procurement decisions.
Kasparas received his Ph.D. at Princeton University, engineering and energy policy. In addition, he was a Princeton Energy and Climate Scholar at the Princeton Environmental Institute, and a fellow in the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.
