About

Marie joined CATF in June 2025 as a Policy and Project Associate, supporting the European advocacy team in advancing decarbonization and climate policy across the EU. In this role, she contributes to strategic policy development and project coordination, driving climate ambition and innovation.

Before joining CATF, Marie worked with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Brussels, where she supported an EU-funded initiative focused on strengthening evidence-based policymaking. She also gained experience through working with the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation in Stockholm, analyzing the national impact of EU legislation. Earlier in her career, she also supported the office of a Member of the European Parliament as a trainee during negotiations on EU climate targets and the Common Agricultural Policy.

Marie holds a master’s degree in Sustainable Food Systems from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and a bachelor’s degree from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, specialising in European Affairs. Alongside her academic and professional work, she has volunteered in several climate dialogues and international initiatives, including projects with the IUCN and in Franco-German cultural exchange.
