Program Manager, Methane Pollution Prevention

About

Viola Jobita joined CATF in 2023 as a Program Manager, Methane Pollution Prevention. She is focused on developing and implementing strategies to drive down global methane emissions. Viola leads and supports a wide range of programmatic activities including coalition building, fundraising, project management, direct decision-maker advocacy, strategic communications, and collaboration with leading global stakeholders.

Prior to joining CATF, Viola was a Department Manager at Lions International where she led program development, implementation, and evaluation of global programs and service initiatives. She also managed global partnerships, collaboration, and grants related to global causes and programs. Previously at the same organization, Viola was a Regional Specialist for Europe and Africa, where she developed and managed partnerships with internationally diverse stakeholders, countries, government institutions, UN agencies, foundations, the private sector, and civil society organizations. She also led the promotion of global programs, developed regional strategic plans and recommended regional adaptations of projects and initiatives. Early in her career, Viola spent years working in human rights and civil society organizations in Kenya, and has lived, worked and studied in the US, Africa, Europe and Latin America.

Viola holds a Master of Science degree in International Public Service from DePaul University School of Public Service in Chicago, a certificate in Grant Writing from DePaul School of Continuing and Professional Education, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Political Science from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Nairobi, Kenya.
