About
Reece Rushing is the U.S. Federal Policy Director for Clean Air Task Force, with more than 25 years of experience working on energy and environmental policy in the business, government, and nonprofit sector.
Before joining CATF, he was director of policy and government affairs for Carbon America, a Denver-based carbon capture and storage developer. He also served on Capitol Hill and in the executive branch, first as senior staff on the U.S. House Natural Resources Committee and then as acting deputy assistant secretary for congressional relations at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Following his time at USDA, Reece worked at Climate Nexus, where he led the organization’s efforts to pass climate legislation that became the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act. Earlier in his career, Reece served as director of government reform at the Center for American Progress, where he led an initiative that promoted reforms to get bigger bang for the buck on national priorities, including energy.
Reece holds a degree in journalism from the University of Missouri.
