About
Lucía M. Maroto joined Clean Air Task Force in September 2025 as a Transportation Decarbonization Manager, focusing on reducing emissions across Europe’s transport sector. She works to shape EU frameworks on road, maritime, and aviation decarbonization—particularly in hard-to-abate segments.
Before joining CATF, she worked as a Public Affairs specialist at the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), where she focused on emission standards, industrial competitiveness, and climate policy. Previously, she served as Head of Office and Policy Advisor to a Member of the European Parliament working on transport, industry, and regional development.
Lucía holds a double Bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science from ICADE (Madrid), an LL.M. in Comparative Law from Pace Law School (New York), and a Master’s in the Practice of Law. She is based in Brussels.
