About
Liz Selbst is the Manager, Coal Mine Methane at Clean Air Task Force, where she leads engagements with governments and key stakeholders to advance coal mine methane mitigation strategies aimed at reducing methane emissions from the coal sector.
Prior to joining CATF, Liz worked on air quality regulations at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where she was a rule writer for programs including criteria air pollutants, interstate transport, and power sector emissions trading programs. She previously served as a Presidential Management Fellow in the Energy Management Program at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Liz holds a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment, a Master of Public Policy from Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy, and a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies from the University of Chicago.
