About
Ian Barlow joined CATF in 2025 and serves as Program Manager with the Methane Pollution Prevention (MPP) team. In this role, he leads and supports a wide range of programmatic activities—including grant management, operations, and process improvements—that further MPP’s strategies to drive down global methane emissions. His work primarily supports MPP’s energy portfolio.
Prior to CATF, Ian worked as a fellow at Swaniti Global, where his research focused on the socioeconomics of energy transition in coal-dependent regions and critical transition mineral development. He has also served as Senior Program Manager with the Energy Security & Climate Change Program at the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS). At CSIS, he supported the program’s research agenda and led project execution, content strategy, and program operations. He is currently based in Washington, D.C.
