Senior Director, Institutional Giving

About

Harlan Cutshall joined Clean Air Task Force in November 2023. In his role, he leads a team of development professionals managing relationships with Clean Air Task Force’s institutional donors — including private charitable foundations, strategic regranters, pooled funds, philanthropic intermediaries, and aggregators — across the organization’s global program and advocacy areas. He works closely with program staff to secure, steward, and expand support for the organization’s work, and engages in program development to shape impactful workstreams.

Prior to joining CATF, Harlan led relationship management for a portfolio of foundations at Ceres, a sustainability nonprofit focused on accelerating the private sector’s transition to a net-zero future. He also served as a member of the organization’s Program Management Team and supported all aspects of program development, integration, and evaluation.

Harlan began his career in politics, most notably leading fundraising for Maine’s landmark 2016 ranked choice voting ballot initiative – a victorious statewide campaign which brought about first-in-the-nation electoral reform. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and global health from Emory University. Harlan lives in Oakland, California.
