About the event
Hydrogen is touted as a major pathway to decarbonising some of the UK’s hardest-to-abate sectors, such as heavy industry and heavy-duty transportation, supporting its net zero commitments while keeping its economy resilient and globally competitive. Yet, implementing and scaling the clean hydrogen market faces significant barriers, limited by its challenging economics, infrastructure and supply chain.
The event will bring together government, private sector, civil society, and potential investors to discuss clean hydrogen’s value add to decarbonising the UK economy, and cover what is needed to move from proof of concept to real-world deployment.
Discussions will focus on where hydrogen will be needed most, and what is needed from policy and investment to enable hydrogen’s realisation and scale to meet market demand.
