About the event

This event will explore the need for livestock genetics to be accounted as a tool for mitigation and adaptation for livestock, being explicit in countries NDCs and climate policies.

The discussion will highlight how geneticists and livestock farmers are working together to develop not only more productive cattle, but also better adapted cattle for the tropical conditions, including adapted to heat stress. Speakers will explore the unique collaboration between the private and public sector, sharing learnings from the collaboration between The Brazilian Association of Zebu Cattle Breeders and Embrapa.
