About the event

In 2024, the Draghi Report called for an overarching innovation strategy to commercialise fusion energy in Europe, citing its potential to deliver the clean, secure, and abundant power needed to advance Europe’s competitiveness, decarbonisation, and security goals. Today, the EU is preparing to unveil its first-ever EU Fusion Strategy to outline that vision towards the commercialisation of fusion energy in Europe.

Clean Air Task Force and the Fusion Industry Association are therefore hosting a discussion in which stakeholders across the fusion ecosystem will collaboratively build a path forward towards this new era of fusion energy commercialisation. Using a strategic, commercial, and industrial lens, participants will discuss the key tenets needed to enable the strategy to outline a vision for regulatory clarity, investment signals, and public-private coordination. The session will also discuss how the EU can align with frontrunner Member State activities to maximize momentum towards fusion energy commercialisation in Europe.

This event is part of the EU Sustainable Energy Days 2026. Please note that only participants who have received a written confirmation will be admitted to the event, due to capacity limits. To express your interest in this event, please email Ana Alexandrescu at [email protected].
