Alan Mitchell

U.S. Federal Policy Senior Manager

About

Alan Mitchell is the U.S. Federal Policy Senior Manager for the Clean Air Task Force, with more than a decade of experience across the federal government, private sector, and local government.

Prior to joining CATF, Alan was a senior advisor at the U.S. Department of Transportation, with a focus on reducing aviation sector emissions. He also served as a senior policy advisor within the White House Climate Policy Office. Earlier in his career, Alan also worked as the chief of staff at a transportation company, as a strategist for New York City’s economic development agency, as a management consultant for the Boston Consulting Group, and as a staff member on a successful gubernatorial campaign.

Alan holds a J.D. from the Yale Law School, where he co-led the Yale Environmental Law Association and participated in the Environmental Protection Clinic. While in law school, he also held summer internships at Cravath, Swaine & Moore and the Southern Environmental Law Center. Alan is a member of the D.C. Bar and also has a degree in economics from Pomona College.
