About
Jeff Gleason has over 30 years of experience in nonprofit governance, most recently as the past President and Executive Director of the Southern Environmental Law Center. He joined SELC in 1991 to head its newly created Clean Energy and Healthy Air Program and is proud to have played a leadership role in the transformational change in energy policy that has occurred in the South over the past three decades. He also served as SELC’s Deputy Director and Director of Regional Programs. Prior to joining SELC, Jeff practiced law in New York City and Charlottesville, Virginia. He is a past recipient of the EPA’s Clean Air Excellence award and the James S. Dockery, Jr. Southern Environmental Leadership Award. A native of Charlottesville, Jeff is a graduate of Union College and the University of Virginia School of Law.
