About

Jeff Brown is Managing Director of the Energy Futures Financing Forum, a multi-year project to make critical decarbonization projects more investable.  As an Adjunct Professor at Stanford’s School of Earth, Energy, and Environment Sciences he has taught graduate-level courses on clean energy finance since 2015.  In 2016 he co-founded B2E2 LLC, consulting to environmental NGOs and commercial clients on carbon capture and tropical rainforest preservation.  Jeff was formerly Senior Vice President—Finance & Corporate Strategy at Summit Power, a Seattle-based clean energy development firm. Prior to working as a power developer, Jeff retired as a Managing Director from Merrill Lynch in 2009 with 26 years of experience in energy and infrastructure project finance, debt capital markets, and financial/commodity derivatives while at Goldman Sachs and Merrill.  Jeff began his career as Legislative Assistant to U.S. Congressman James Weaver of Oregon. Mr. Brown holds an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College, where he was a Harvard National Scholar. He holds an M.B.A. (with distinction) from the Harvard Graduate School of Business, where he won the Ullman Agribusiness Research Award.
