Giving Tuesday: Founders Pledge and Vox again recognize CATF as a top climate charity
BOSTON — As donors look to maximize their climate impact this Giving Tuesday, Clean Air Task Force (CATF) has once again been highlighted by Founders Pledge and Vox as one of the most effective nonprofits working to tackle climate change.
In its latest Climate Fund recommendations, Founders Pledge-a global philanthropic research organization- again identifies CATF as one of its top climate charities, highlighting CATF’s ability to translate deep technical expertise into major policy outcomes that drive real-world emissions reductions. Founders Pledge has recommended and funded CATF every year since 2021, including a $750,000 grant in March 2025 to advance CATF’s work on clean energy innovation and its collaboration with the Innovation Initiative.
CATF continues to earn strong endorsements from across the philanthropic and media landscape. Vox has repeatedly named CATF the top charity to donate to in order to fight climate change, citing its rigorous, evidence-based approach and long track record of delivering measurable climate progress and shaping policy decisions with global implications. The Washington Post has likewise highlighted CATF for its pivotal advocacy on major climate and energy issues. That recognition aligns with evaluations from Founders Pledge, Charity Navigator, and Giving Green, which all highlight CATF’s unique ability to expand the global climate solutions portfolio and drive high-impact, technology-inclusive climate policy.
“As the climate solution space grows more complex and challenging, philanthropists are increasingly looking for organizations that combine a pragmatic strategy with first-in-class execution,” said Armond Cohen, Executive Director at CATF. “CATF remains focused on driving solutions that work in the real world, not the world we wish we were in, and this Giving Tuesday, we’re grateful for the continued vote of confidence from Founders Pledge, Vox, and our broader community of supporters.”
