Anastasia Marceau joins Clean Air Task Force as Managing Director
Clean Air Task Force (CATF) is pleased to announce that Anastasia Marceau has joined the organization as Managing Director, leading CATF’s Executive team and identifying collaborative opportunities across CATF’s programs, advocacy, external engagement, people, finance, and operational functions.
“Following a period of rapid growth and global expansion to fourteen countries and six continents, and amidst a fast-changing climate and energy landscape, Clean Air Task Force set out this year to secure the strategic management and leadership needed to take us to the next level,” said Armond Cohen, Executive Director of Clean Air Task Force. “As part of that effort, we undertook a worldwide executive search to bring on board a managing director. We recognized Anastasia clearly and unanimously as the leader we were looking for to further professionalize CATF while keeping its innovation-based, start-up mindset. With more than 25 years of strategic and operational experience leading and supporting nonprofits, philanthropists, companies, and multilateral agencies, she brings not only a combination of seasoned strategic leadership and deep management expertise, but also a keen appreciation of CATF’s unique role in challenging conventional thinking on climate and expanding the solution set. This makes her a perfect fit for CATF’s culture and future.”
Anastasia comes to CATF from the global services provider Accenture, where she served as Managing Director and most recently led the Climate & Environment impact practice working to accelerate climate mitigation and adaptation, and to advance socioeconomic equity. She previously led Accenture’s North America Impact unit (known as Accenture Development Partnerships), overseeing strategy, operations, talent, and financial management across a large environmental and social portfolio.
“Climate change and the transformation of the global energy system are the defining challenges of our time,” said Anastasia Marceau, Managing Director at Clean Air Task Force. “It’s my ambition to focus my career on meeting those challenges head-on. Over the last 30 years, CATF has cultivated an impressive team of experts, delivering cutting-edge insights on the most effective and realistic pathways for decarbonization. It’s an honor to join such an innovative organization, consistently recognized for its high-impact approach to research and advocacy. I thank Armond Cohen and the team for welcoming me to Clean Air Task Force, and I am optimistic about accelerating the organization’s impact — to benefit not only my children, but for generations to come.”
Anastasia has worked on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) challenges across the globe, including in roles in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia. She holds a B.A. from University of Virginia, a M.S. in International Affairs from New School University, and an M.B.A. from New York University Stern School of Business.
