ÜBER CATF

Clean Air Task Force (CATF) is a nonprofit organization working to safeguard against the worst impacts of climate change by catalyzing the rapid global development and deployment of low-carbon energy and other climate-protecting technologies. This is accomplished through research and analysis, public advocacy leadership, and partnership with the private sector. CATF is highly respected for its deep expertise and research on energy and industrial systems and potential strategies, technologies, and policies that can radically shrink their impact on the planet’s atmosphere. Our team of experts and advocates (and global network of subject matter experts and civil society partners) put this research and knowledge into action by designing and enacting public policies that drive toward zero emissions. We also support policies and work directly with private industry to innovate in technology to make the path to zero emissions swift and affordable. CATF has offices in Boston, Washington D.C., and Brussels, with staff working virtually around the world.

ROLLE

The Senior Associate, Foundation Giving supports the management of a portfolio of foundation grants and works closely with CATF’s program staff experts to direct proposal writing, grant reporting, and develop new funding opportunities. In close coordination with the Director, Foundation Giving, this role will serve as a critical relationship manager with CATF’s foundation donors and other key funding partners.

The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, fundraising experience, and a desire to learn more about both climate philanthropy and the risks and opportunities posed by unmitigated climate change. The Senior Associate, Foundation Giving will work collaboratively with the Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, Director, Foundation Giving, Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, Board of Directors, additional leadership team members, program staff, and donors.

Hauptfunktionen und Zuständigkeiten:

  • Support the management of a portfolio of foundations, with the goal of ultimately expanding CATF’s partnerships with long-term funders and cultivating impactful relationships.
  • Craft impactful proposals, letters of inquiry, concept notes, and reports, as directed by the Director, Foundation Giving and in close collaboration with program staff.
  • Prospect new funders for CATF’s work, building relationships with program staff and foundations which ultimately culminate in new revenues.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director, Director, Foundation Giving, leadership team, finance staff, and other key stakeholders in the program development, program/budget buildout, and execution of letters of inquiry and grant proposals. This includes working with CATF Action (501c4) in their funding needs.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Foundation Giving, on program development, proposal and report development, and pipeline management.
  • Secure meetings with priority funders for key leadership and program staff and staff those meetings as necessary.
  • Develop stewardship plans for current donors to ensure sustained support for CATF’s programs, in close collaboration with Director, Foundation Giving.
  • Track all deadlines, requirements, and payment schedules for portfolio of grants.
  • Liaise with development team colleagues responsible for major donor engagement, individual and corporate contributions, development partnerships, and development events to identify and strengthen points of overlap.
  • Appropriately manage internal and external relationships around grant outcomes and results to meet or exceed funder expectations, and diplomatically handle situations that create competing priorities. Partner with program teams to track progress and proactively identify any potential obstacles to delivery.

Fertigkeiten/Qualifikationen:

  • Bachelor-Abschluss oder gleichwertige Ausbildung, Berufserfahrung oder sonstige für die Stelle relevante Erfahrung.
  • 2-4 years of experience, with a preference for experience in nonprofit fundraising.
  • Collaborative team player with strong project management skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a distinct and dynamic culture and successfully manage multiple details and priorities.

Vergütung und Standort: 

This is a remote, full-time position flexible within the U.S. CATF offers an excellent benefits package and an annual salary range of $80,000 – $105,000, depending on experience.
