Rachel Starr is the U.S. Policy Manager for Hydrogen and Transportation Decarbonization. She supports the development of and advocacy for policies in the U.S. that promote demonstration and scaling of hydrogen production, development of storage and transport infrastructure for hydrogen, using hydrogen towards decarbonizing a variety of end use sectors, and decarbonizing the transportation sector. Rachel collaborates across multiple CATF teams and works on initiatives at the federal and state levels.
Avant de rejoindre CATF, Rachel a été boursière de l'AAAS pour la politique scientifique et technologique, d'abord au bureau du sénateur américain John Hickenlooper en tant que collaboratrice législative pour le climat et l'énergie, puis au département d'État américain, au Bureau des ressources énergétiques, dans l'équipe chargée des minéraux critiques. Elle est titulaire d'un doctorat en chimie des matériaux de l'université de Columbia et d'une licence en chimie du Barnard College.
