About
Jessica Blair, Director of Major and Planned Giving, brings more than 20 years of fundraising experience to CATF’s efforts to empower individual donors to help advance durable and resilient solutions to climate change. With ten nieces and nephews, managing climate impacts is both a personal and professional mission for Jessica.
Inspired by the power of philanthropy to advance critical social and environmental issues, Jessica served as a Major Gift Officer (CA) and Associate Director of Planned Giving (national) for The Trust for Public Land before taking on the role of Development Director for San Francisco Bay Area-based Youth Outside (formerly the Foundation for Youth Investment) and 826 Valencia, the flagship chapter of a national network of youth writing centers.
For several years Jessica led a boutique fundraising consultancy focused on helping small and medium-sized organizations develop major gift programs. As a consultant, she developed and led major gift trainings, coached executive directors and board members in donor cultivation and solicitation, and developed strategic fundraising plans.
Jessica most recently served as an Associate Director of Philanthropy for The Nature Conservancy in Minnesota, where she where she secured more than $10 million for TNC’s global mission to protect biodiversity and address climate change. At TNC she launched the chapter’s natural climate solutions fundraising initiative and engaged donors in meaningful opportunities to experience the impact of their giving.
Jessica graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from SUNY Geneseo, and now serves on the SUNY Geneseo Foundation Board of Directors. She lives in upstate New York.
