About

Evan Chapman leads Clean Air Task Force’s federal policy work with Congress and government agencies in Washington, D.C. as CATF’s Federal Policy Director.  He has more than a decade of experience working to address climate change and energy issues.

Prior to joining Clean Air Task Force, Evan was Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for Congressman A. Donald McEachin of Virginia. His work included developing legislation to reduce air pollution, advance equity and environmental justice, mitigate legacy environmental pollution, and make technological advances necessary to address the climate crisis. While in the House, he played a key role in advancing policies related to climate and environmental justice in the Inflation Reduction Act. Evan previously served as an aide to Congressman Robert C. “Bobby” Scott of Virginia and worked to advance resilience with the Pew Charitable Trusts and the American Association of Port Authorities. Evan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Communications from Emerson College and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from George Mason University.
